Creon decreed that people who took part of attacking Thebes would not have a proper burial, but apparently a well known source reported to king Creon that Antigone was caught in the action of giving a proper burial to Polynieces. When Creon found out about the situation he called Antigone for immediate questioning. When Antigone was accused of burying Polynieces she neither confirmed or denied the burying of Polynieces. Creon soon after called Ismene for the fact he believed that both sisters took part in breaking the of his own accord.
